@ccimhealth we discuss important features about your immune system and how to make your #immune system more effective at protecting you from #viral infection including covid19. There's evidence that people who never were exposed to the #covid19 virus can still yet have an inflammatory response to it.

As data start to accumulate on the detection and characterization of #SARSCoV2 T cell responses in humans, a surprising finding has been reported: lymphocytes from 20–50% of unexposed donors display significant reactivity to #SARS-CoV-2 antigen peptide pools.

In a study by Grifoni et al.1, reactivity was detected in 50% of donor blood samples obtained in the #USA between 2015 and 2018, before SARS-CoV-2 appeared in the human population. T cell reactivity was highest against proteins other than the coronavirus spike protein, but T cell reactivity was also detected against spike. The SARS-CoV-2 T cell reactivity was mostly associated with CD4+ T cells, with a smaller contribution by CD8+ T cells.

This #pandemic has revealed what we knew already: excess consumerism is harming the #planet, chronic #inflammation is at the root of most chronic medical illness including severe #covid19, healthy people are less likely to be affected by the #virus, big business interests have both fueled and are profiting from the situation.

At the end of the day, we know that a healthy gut #microbiome and endocrine system, along with healthy lifestyles emphasizing exercise, #mindfulness, and having healthy #relationships with the other and the self are the methods to achieve and retain #health

We are the only #holistic medical service in the country with >10 years of hospital experience (we staff hospitals) and even now, during the #Corona_Virus pandemic, we are in the front lines. Our doctors care for corona virus patients every day in multiple hospitals. We are experiencing the #PPE / leadership issues #tragedies, #triumphs #moments saving lives, having to keep ourselves safe, witnessing the bravery of doctors, nurses, EMTs; navigating the #hydroxychloroquine issues; we even see #covid19 patients at home who have symptoms and need to be seen and who decide not to go to hospital. Thanks to the use of #telemedicine, we can use video conferencing technology to connect our nurses, patients, and doctors. We are at the front, ready to be of service.

Meanwhile we are still doing medical consults for our existing #CCIM patients, keeping them safe, helping them with their custom microbiome and endocrine protocols, and even seeing new patients for comprehensive 90 minute consultations done through secure video portal.

We also are able to set up affordable #medicalinsurance and primary care for people who cannot afford to spend anything on their health, and to these people we can offer them custom precise medical care.

Join the conversation with us! We're having a ZOOM discussion this friday, May 1st at 6pm EST (3pm PST), discussing wellness, prevention, and the gut microbiome in the COVID19 pandemic

Gut microbiota could predict severity of COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is spreading to every corner of the world. But not everyone is falling sick at the same rate. A new study published on the preprint server medRxiv in April 2020 suggests that the composition of the gut microbiome could partially explain the difference in susceptibility. This ad…
